Fleurology Group

Fleurology strives to create an exclusive community of accomplished florists and event designers who share their knowledge and resources to help achieve their potential and goals, both collectively and individually, propelling them to garner ultimate success in the industry. We are here to support each other, learn from one another, and foster a nourishing yet powerful collaborative network of growth and prosperity within the luxury market.

This mission statement sums up everything I was able to experience during the Fleurology Symposium, a three day event held at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California. The symposium was invite only and was intended for an elite group of designers with a strong background in floral design.

Not only did the event immerse us in the luxury event experience, but increased my knowledge base of important details toward improving J. Morris Flowers.  The basis for the symposium was floral design, but as all designers know, there are a multitude of elements involved in true luxury design.

During the event, we met with Leading Wedding & Entertaining Expert David Tutera. Enough said, right?!? Fleurology Founder Adelena Whittaker Rooney, who has worked on 60 episodes of My Fair Wedding, wedding pro Michelle Loretta, and Eugenia Barth from Passion Growers were also in attendance, along with a few other experts. They went over topics that included the latest trends, business practices, designs, and servicing the luxury client, just to name a few.

When we weren’t busy taking down notes, I had the opportunity to participate in a bouquet & boutonniere design contest as well as centerpiece. Although I didn’t win, I received fantastic feedback from Tutera himself including this once in a lifetime shot!

On the very last day, we heard from a curated group of speakers/educators regarding photography, styling & designing for the camera, branding, and getting published. We wrapped up with a few final thoughts from Tutera before celebrating the final day during a gala event.

Fleurlogy was SUCH a game changing event. It was an intimate experience where I had the unique opportunity to work one-on-one with trusted mentors in an inspired setting. I learned so much in just three days and I can’t wait to see how it enhances J. Morris Flowers.
